Insurance Sales: You Need a Selling Attitude

You need a selling attitude to become a top producer. A positive attitude alone doesn't produce results, but a selling attitude does. You'll find the better your selling attitude the better your positive attitude becomes.

A properly developed selling attitude produces a positive attitude. Attitudes are habits of thought that surface through your behaviors. Your selling attitudes lead to the actions you take and the results you get, good or bad. When you aren't getting the results you want take a look at your attitudes and habits. A selling attitude demands an attitude of persistence and determination. Wherever you are on your journey to sales success you have to persistently do what you need to do to become a top professional. You must have the determination it takes to keep trying until you develop the approach that works for you.

If you want to be better than you are today you'll need to be persistent and determined to identify your opportunities to develop the skills you have within you to grow and develop into the top producer you want to become.

If you are a new user of QuarkXPress, then this article may just point out some of the mistakes you may be making. So read through our list of common errors made by QuarkXPress user and see how many of them you yourself are making!

The New Project dialogue window (which appears automatically whenever a new project is created) is often completely ignored by many QuarkXPress users, even if the settings are not the right ones for the project they are about to create. The settings you see are left over from the last project created: if the new project needs different settings, go ahead and change them.

Where does the page actually end? A lot of inexperienced QuarkXPress users mistake the margin guides for the edge of the page. Margin guides should be set when creating the new project and are used to align text and image boxes. These items should be placed on the guides: there is no need to leave any extra space.

Insurance Sales: Don’t Quit too Soon

Your sales are down, your self-confidence is gone, you feel like you're beating your head against a brick wall maybe you should just quit. Maybe you should and maybe you're on the verge of a major breakthrough, but if you quit now you'll never know. How will you feel when you find out that the next call, the next appointment, the next referral, or the next chunk of repeat business would have been life changing for you? What exactly are you quitting? Are you quitting a company because it doesn't match your values? Are you quitting a boss because they lack integrity? Are you quitting a product or service because it just doesn't meet expectations? If you're quitting these things you should and you should feel good about it and hold your head high as you move on to the next thing that does support your values, standards, and integrity.

Could you be quitting yourself? You may be convinced at this point that you just don't have what it takes to make it in sales. It's very possible you do have what it takes and if you'd just persist a little longer you could get the success you want so badly. You need to evaluate if you have what it takes based on the facts not on surrounding information.

Stop guessing and allowing your damaged self-confidence to assess your ability to succeed in sales. If you've sold previously and you were successful you have proof that you can sell, and that you have an opportunity to change and adapt your approach so you can succeed again. There are quick and easy scientific tools available known as assessments that can provide you with the facts about your sales skills.
