Dog training London

I began dog training ten years ago and had no idea it would have such a massive impact in my life. Growing up I struggled in school through not being an academic, skipped classes and had no respect for those who had no respect for me. I perceived those who would dominate me as a threat to my sanity and safety and would never willingly lose a battle.

It was only when I began to study nature and train dogs that I looked at the world through different eyes. I looked as dogs as most people do; animals that should be dominated into doing what I wanted them to do. The word pet suggests "mine" and it is with that perception that I was limited in how far I could go with training dogs.

Then one day I was fortunate to observe a lady called Jan Fennell, she had a charismatic ore about her combined with infectious enthusiasm for what she was saying, as I watched on, I acknowledged very quickly her technique was to communicate with dogs in a non confrontational approach using the psychology of the wolf pack. The technique was very effective communicating in a language that dog's understood. I could see that Jan was working with the dog's nature rather than against it and she never needed to intimidate the dog or use gadgets or tools.

As a young person that could not be knocked into submission I embraced the method and sought to learn as much as I could. I began a journey which would teach me about fundamental behaviour, learning many skills from the wolf pack. It was these skills that taught me patience and perseverance with dogs which then attributed to a knock on effect in my own life. The more I practiced with dogs the more I was learning about myself and other people. I understood that was other ways to communicate and change hearts and minds rather than becoming frustrated.

The study helped me so much that I avoided arguments, improved relationships and it was this realisation that motivated me to teach in schools and pupil referral units in hope for young people to see what I could see. I called the course The Wolf Within.
